It's now officially fall! I wanted to take some time to reflect on the past season. This summer I launched Hepler Law & Consulting and took time to play in nature's playground. How was your summer?! What are you looking forward to this fall and winter?
The air is starting to chill and a new ski season is just around the corner. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on this summer. Hepler Law & Consulting was launched, I had the chance to get involved in my new community, and I was able to start accomplishing some of my personal goals.
Launch 🚀: Hepler Law & Consulting's Start in June
Hepler Law & Consulting was launched this June! The firm's focus is on business, real estate, and conservation transactional legal matters. I've also had the privilege to offer business consulting since the firm's launch. It has been amazing working one-on-one with each client and helping you all achieve your goals.

Nature Time ⛰️: Exploring the Area & Setting New Goals
Sandpoint is a mecca for outdoor activities. We've had the chance to hike the local high point, Scotchman Peak, a few times, go water skiing, biking, kayaking, backpacking, and hiking a ton. Let's just say, we are so happy with our move to the area. This was our first full summer in Sandpoint after relocating in August 2021.
I also had the chance to start accomplishing a personal goal, which is to hike/climb the tallest peak in each Pacific Northwest state (Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana). I started with Idaho by climbing Borah Mountain. It feels so great to make a goal and to start accomplishing them (both in business and for fun).
Community 🍑: Kaniksu Land Trust, "Let's Picnic!", & Peach Ale
It has been so exciting to be involved with Kaniksu Land Trust as its newest board member! In addition to Pine Street Woods (a local private park with mountain biking, hiking, and cross-country trails) and conserving nearly 4,000 acres of land in Idaho and Montana, Kaniksu Land Trust is involved in local communities by facilitating events and programs. These include the "Let's Picnic!" program that fed over 250 local children lunches for the summer and plans to start a land trust as an innovative way to bring affordable housing to the area.
With regards to peach ale, my wife, Bailey, and son, Arlo, had the opportunity to help our friends who own Matchwood Brewery in Sandpoint to pick over a thousand pounds of peaches for their upcoming peach ale. We took a trip to beautiful Paradise, Montana to Forbidden Fruit Orchard and ate more peaches than I knew was humanly possible.
Goals & Plans 🎯: What's Ahead?
In addition to growing the law firm, I have plans to launch video content highlighting business owners and community leaders and taking them on an adventure that will check off an item from their bucket list while interviewing them on their lowest moments in life and how they found/are finding vision.
What plans and goals do you have?
